시스템이 페이징을 과도하게 시작하면, 폭주하는 프로세스를 죽이기 위한 목적으 로 시스템 관리자가 로그인 하는 것 조차도 불가능 해 질 수 있습니다 (때때로 로그인 프로그램이 스래싱으로 시간 초과됨). Memlockd는 중요한 시스템 파일 (/bin/login, /bin/gety, admin shell)들이 메모리에서 lock되도록 하여 실행가 능 페이지에 접근할때 지연이 발생하지 않도록 합니다. 테스트 결과 관리자가 스 래딩 시스템에 로그인하는데 걸리는 시간이 3배 이상 단축되었습니다.
