OMake는 MD5 다이제스트에 기반한 정확하고 자동화된 의존성 분석을 포함합니다. 또한 빌드 파일 디버깅을 위한 인터렉티브 쉘로 사용할 수 있는 독립 실행형 명령행 인터프리터, osh를 포함합니다. OMake의 구문은 완전한 객체 지향 언어입니다. OMake 언어의 기능으로는 정수 및 부동 소수점 산술, 범위가 지정된 표현식, 고차 함수, 다중 상속, 패턴 일치, 런타임 예외, 렉서 및 LALR(1) 파서를 포함합니다. omake는 Linux/Unix, Win32, OS X에서 표준 라이브러리에 대한 통일된 인터페이스를 제공하기에, 사용자는 아키텍처에서 독립적인 빌드를 쉽게 생성할 수 있습니다.
