La suite VPN strongSwan usa lo stack nativo IPsec nel kernel Linux standard. Gestisce entrambi i protocolli IKEv1 e IKEv2.
Questo pacchetto contiene la libreria charon usata dai client IKE come strongswan-charon, strongswan-charon-cmd o strongswan-nm, oltre ai plugin standard:
