L'infrastruttura Linux target (tgt) permette a un sistema Linux di fornire dispositivi SCSI (target) su trasporti SCSI in rete.

tgt consiste in un demone in spazio utente e strumenti in spazio utente che attualmente sono compatibili con i seguenti trasporti:

 - iSCSI (SCSI su IP);
 - iSER (iSCSI su RDMA, usando InfiniBand).

tgt è compatibile anche con differenti tipi di memorizzazione per l'uso come archiviazione sottostante per unità logiche SCSI:

 - file normali e device a blocchi;
 - volumi Ceph/RADOS RBD;
 - volumi GlusterFS.

Questo pacchetto abilita tgt a usare volumi GlusterFS come archiviazione sottostante per unità logiche SCSI.
