Sitecopy serve per copiare su server remoti i siti web memorizzati localmente. Con un singolo comando, il programma sincronizzerà un insieme di file locali con un server remoto eseguendo caricamenti e eliminazioni remote come necessario. Lo scopo è di rimuovere il fastidio di caricare ed eliminare individualmente i file usando un client FTP. Sitecopy cercherà anche opzionalmente di individuare file spostati in locale e di spostarli in remoto.

Sitecopy è progettato per non interessarsi di cosa c'è veramente sul server remoto: semplicemente tiene una registrazione di ciò che PENSA ci sia sul server remoto e lavora su quella.
