debugperl fornisce una versione con debug abilitato di Perl che può produrre informazioni esaurienti sull'interprete mentre compila ed esegue un programma (vedere l'opzione -D in perlrun(1)).
Notare che questo pacchetto è principalmente utile per fare il debug di *Perl* piuttosto che di programmi Perl, per i quali il debug e i trace possono essere fatti usando il binario perl standard usando l'opzione -d (vedere perldebug(1)).
In aggiunta questo pacchetto include anche le informazioni di debug per il normale interprete Perl.
