Bomstrip è uno strumento molto semplice che elimina i BOM (Byte Order Mark) da file UTF-8. L'UTF-8 non ha problemi con la sequenza dei byte, quindi non c'è alcuna necessità di avere tre byte (il BOM UTF-8) che non dicono nulla sulla sequenza dei byte (poiché nulla c'è da dire).
