NUT (Network UPS Tools) è un sistema client/server di monitoraggio che permette ai computer di condividere hardware UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) e PDU (Power Distribution Unit). I client accedono all'hardware attraverso il server e vengono notificati ogni volta che cambia lo stato dell'alimentazione.

Questo pacchetto fornisce netxml-ups, che riconosce modelli di UPS di Eaton o MGE che usano una scheda di gestione della rete basata su XML/HTTP o un proxy.
