NUT (Network UPS Tools) è un sistema client/server di monitoraggio che permette ai computer di condividere hardware UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) e PDU (Power Distribution Unit). I client accedono all'hardware attraverso il server e vengono notificati ogni volta che cambia lo stato dell'alimentazione.

Questo pacchetto fornisce snmp-ups, il driver SNMP multi-MIB per UPS, che riconosce diversi MIB inclusi IETF, MGE e APC. Aggiunge un'interfaccia di gestione SNMP al sistema centrale NUT.
