Lensfun è un database open source di obiettivi fotografici e di loro caratteristiche. Contiene tre tipi di oggetti:

 * attacchi,
 * fotocamere,
 * obiettivi.

È usato in vari software relativi alla fotografia in cui permette la correzione di diversi artefatti:

 * distorsione,
 * aberrazioni cromatiche trasversali (dette anche laterali),
 * vignettatura,
 * contribuzione al colore della lente (correggendo ad esempio immagini
   "gialline" o "bluette").

Fornisce un modo per leggere e cercare cose specifiche nel database.
