speechd-el è un client Emacs ed una libreria Elisp per Speech Dispatcher. Fornisce una complessa interfaccia vocale ad Emacs, focalizzata specialmente, ma non solo, agli utenti non vedenti e ipovedenti. Permette agli utenti di lavorare con Emacs senza guardare lo schermo, usando l'output vocale prodotto da i sintetizzatori supportati da Speech Dispatcher.
