Aj-snapshot è un piccolo programma che può essere usato per creare istantanee di connessioni fatte tra client JACK o ALSA. Poiché JACK può fornire ai programmi entrambe le gestioni audio e MIDI, aj-snapshot può memorizzare entrambi i tipi di connessioni per JACK. Al contrario ALSA fornisce soltanto le funzionalità di instradamento per client MIDI. Aj-snapshot è pensato per essere usato dalla riga di comando.
