voacapl er et program, der bruger empiriske data til at forudsige punkt til punkt-stitab og -dækning for en radiomodtager, der arbejder i højfrekvensintervallet (3 til 30 Mhz), hvis der er angivet data såsom transmissions- og modtagelsesantenner, solvejr og tid/dato.
Det er en Linux-port af VOACAP (Voice of America Coverage Analysis Program), en ændret version af IONCAP (Ionospheric Communication Analysis and Prediction Program), oprindeligt udviklet af National Telecommunications and Informationsadministration (NTIA).
Det giver en kompleks, omend kraftfuld, kommandolinjegrænseflade, der bruges af både amatører (»ham-radio«) og professionelle radiooperatører. Den foreslåede pythonprop-pakke giver en nemmere grafisk grænseflade for voacapl, der accepterer data såsom felter og kan plotte resultaterne som grafik.
