Detekteringsværktøj for IP-konflikter
IPwatchD er en simpel dæmon, som analyserer alle indgående ARP-pakker for at kunne detektere IP-konflikter på Linux. Dæmonen kan konfigureres til at lytte på ene eller flere grænseflader (aliasgrænseflader er også understøttet) i aktiv eller passiv tilstand. I aktiv tilstand beskytter IPwatchD din vært før IP-overtagelse ved at besvare Gratuitous ARP-forespørgsler fra system i konflikt. I passiv tilstand registrerer dæmonen bare information om konflikten via en normal syslog-grænseflade.
