Spejler eller overlægger en lokal mappe med ændrede rettigheder

Bindfs er et FUSE-filsystem til spejling af en mappe til en anden mappe, på samme måde som »mount --bind«. Rettighederne for den spejlede mappe kan ændres på forskellige måder.

Nogle af de ting som bindfs kan bruges til:

 - Skrivebeskytte en mappe
 - Forhindre alle kørbare filer i at blive afviklet
 - Dele en mappe med en liste af brugere (eller grupper)
 - Ændre rettighedsdelene ved brug af regler med chmod-lignende syntaks
 - Ændre rettighederne som bruges på filer når de oprettes

Brugere, som ikke er root, kan bruge næsten alle funktioner, men de mest interessante anvendelsesområder kræver at user_allow_other er defineret i /etc/fuse.conf.
