apt-listchanges는 새 버전의 패키지를 현재 설치된 것과 비교하고 무엇이 바뀌었는지 데비안 changelog와 NEWS 파일에서 해당 항목을 추출하여 보여줍니다.

한번에 여러 개의 .deb 압축 파일에 대하여 이 도구를 실행하면, 한 무리의 패키지를 설치하거나 업그레이드 했을 때 발생하는 모든 변경 사항의 목록을 얻을 수 있습니다. APT 플러그인으로 설정하면 업그레이드하는 동안에 자동으로 이런 작업을 합니다.
