rzip è un programma di compressione che sfrutta la ridondanza su lunghe distanze nei file, permettendo un miglior rapporto di compressione. rzip usa un buffer di cronologia fino a 900MB, mentre gzip usa 32KB e bzip2 900KB. rzip non può leggere da standard input o scrivere su standard output.

Questo pacchetto fornisce i comandi rzip e runzip.
