Ghostwriter est un éditeur Markdown fournissant un environnement d’écriture thémable, sans distraction possible, accompagné d’une prévisualisation HTML en direct avec la saisie, d’une navigation dans le document aisée avec un affichage tête haute du canevas et d’une exportation vers les formats de document populaires avec les processeurs de Sundown, Pandoc, MultiMarkdown, Discount, cmark ou cmark-gfm. Il propose aussi un comptage des mots en direct et un enregistrement automatique. Il élimine ce qui peut perturber dans le mode plein écran et se concentre sur le texte en cours de rédaction dans le mode focus. Il rappelle même le dernier fichier ouvert et la position dans le fichier, ainsi il est possible de reprendre ou il a été abandonné.
